At Kiewit, one of our guiding principles on every project and in every office is, "Nobody Gets Hurt" and we're currently looking for a Safety Specialist who will create, support and audit our programs which reinforce our commitment to safety.
As a Safety Specialist, you will report to Project Safety Manager. Your primary responsibilities centers on the successful implementation and support of the Site Specific Safety Plan in the field. You will assist the Project Safety Manager with the application of the contract, client safety expectations, Kiewit's Corporate Safety Manual, Corporate Crane Procedures Manual, District Standards, and all laws governing the work. You will also verify to ensure that work is being executed as planned, problem-solve with operations and craft, assist with corrective measures, and provide resources to correct and maintain solutions.
McNally Tunneling Corporation, a subsidiary of Weeks Marine Inc., is a heavy/civil construction company that specializes in large diameter tunneling and underground construction. McNally has been successfully completing projects throughout the United States ranging in cost from $350,000 to $200+Mil since the company was formed in 1988.
This position is located in Cleveland, Ohio.
Other Requirements: Regular, reliable attendance. Work productively and meet deadlines timely. Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. Conditions may vary.
