Overview:

We’re seeking a skilled Refrigeration Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of ammonia refrigeration, steam, and boiler systems. This role is responsible for ensuring optimal operation, maintenance, and repair while managing a high-performing refrigeration team and maintaining compliance with OSHA and PSM standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule and manage powerhouse and refrigeration personnel to ensure consistent facility performance.
• Oversee safety protocols and coordinate with management in emergent or federally regulated situations.
• Prepare, execute, and supervise preventive maintenance schedules.
• Identify and resolve issues that could impact facility operations.
• Maintain all OSHA and PSM documentation accurately and on time.
• Train team members in equipment operation and support RETA certification goals.
• Manage and maintain the refrigeration department budget.
• Ensure all systems comply with OSHA, ASHRAE, and PSM regulations.
• Lead and manage projects related to ammonia and steam systems.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience:

Required:

• Technical School Certification in a maintenance/refrigeration -related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on ammonia refrigeration maintenance experience.
• Strong understanding of Process Safety Management (PSM) .
• Proven troubleshooting and operational expertise.
• Excellent organization and documentation skills.
• Leadership or supervisory experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
• Familiarity with OSHA and EPA regulatory processes.
