The Opportunity R&D Finance Enterprise Partners are business-savvy professionals who can put themselves in the shoes of their stakeholders to drive R&D productivity and smart investment decisions, enhancing the value of our portfolio. These individuals catalyze cross-collaboration between R&D units and bring a holistic, end-to-end view across the enterprise. Their touch points along the whole value chain will be combined with a network that drives business results. Drawing from a deep well of Finance excellence skills, as well as communication and storytelling skills, Finance Enterprise Partners challenge the status quo, have eye-level conversations, and help stakeholders to navigate the polarities of a complex world.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as a finance enterprise partner to senior stakeholders in portfolio disease areas and/or in functions in late or early stage R&D
- Serve as thought partner and leader in driving value creation in our pipeline, while also driving productivity and transformation initiatives across the organization
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders across R&D, Finance, and other functions to ensure strategic alignment, context setting and effective business partnership
- Help co-create and deliver the continuously evolving R&D Finance network model and advance the collaboration model between eCoE (Enterprise Center of Excellence) and other collaboration interfaces
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of financial strategies across the R&D pipeline to optimize portfolio performance, prioritize investments, and navigate trade-offs effectively
Who You Are - Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA preferred
- A minimum of 7 years of finance experience in an international environment, with proven record of providing financial stewardship and ensuring Financial governance
- Proven Finance leader with enterprise focus who thinks strategically beyond the immediate future and has a focus on the right work for the highest impact
- Demonstrated excellence in influencing decision-making at senior management levels, supported by strong communication and collaboration skills
- Strategic agility to anticipate changing landscapes, envision the future of finance and the business, and lead teams in developing and executing long-term initiatives with adaptable solutions
- Ability to network throughout a global, complex and matrixed organization and bring a dynamic and entrepreneurial mindset, seeking continuous opportunities and improvement
- An ability to think and drive efforts E2E, navigating and influencing across the R&D value chain effectively
- Role-modeling new ways of working, with high motivation to work collaboratively and coach others and catalyze initiatives
- Demonstrated success in building and retaining trustful relationships with stakeholders and business partners
- Innovative thinking, embracing new approaches, tools, and perspectives to navigate complexity, drive continuous improvement and enhance our digital capabilities
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California state is $128,800 - $239,200. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
