Medical Assistant Instructor [Part-Time Faculty] Join Clackamas Community College (CCC) as a part‑time, union, exempt faculty member teaching the Medical Assistant program. This position emphasizes student‑centered teaching, equity, and community partnership. Location & Schedule Location: Harmony Campus Medical Assistant Skills Lab Schedule: Tuesday/Thursday 8:30 am‑4:00 pm (Winter and Spring terms) Faculty must maintain required licensure/certification. Essential Functions Ensure students develop entry‑level knowledge, skills, and competencies for certification or licensure and employment. Employ strong classroom management and subject‑matter expertise. Deliver classroom instruction on clinical skills, practice, pharmacology, phlebotomy, and intravenous administration. Provide limited instruction of administrative skills. Advise, assist, and tutor students; connect them with learning resources. Effectively communicate with faculty, staff, students, and community partners. Program and student learning‑outcome assessment. Participate in department meetings, professional development, and institutional initiatives. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree, or willingness to complete one within two years of hire. At least two (2) years of professional experience as a medical assistant. Credentialed in good standing as CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), CCMA (NCCT), or NCMA (NHA). Preferred Qualifications Four years of medical‑assistant experience. Associate’s degree or higher. Prior instructional experience at a community college. Bilingual Spanish (preferred).
