Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and outgoing Barista to join our team! In this role, you will welcome customers into the coffee shop and prepare their coffee orders. Your goal is to ensure patrons enjoy their drinks and time at our shop. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee and is willing to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers into the coffee shop with a smile
• Explain the menu items to customers
• Be able to create a variety of espresso-based drinks, and tea drinks from basic to more complex
• Maintain Inventory and restocking supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean work area environment
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the barista area, including food preparation stations.
• Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of all barista equipment.
• Be reliable and consistent with your schedule and be on time.
• Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.

Qualifications :

• Familiarity with food safety guidelines and maintain compliance
• ServeSafe or Food Handlers Certification or ability to obtain shortly after hiring
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to go up & down stairs while carrying up to 25lbs.
