Job Title: Demand Planning Specialist

Location – Remote

Duration – 6 months

We are seeking an experienced Blue Yonder (BY) Demand Planning Specialist with strong expertise in Statistical Forecasting, model tuning, and Demand Module configuration. The ideal candidate will play a key role in configuring demand planning systems, driving forecast accuracy, optimizing statistical models, and supporting end-to-end demand planning processes within Blue Yonder.

Key Responsibilities

Blue Yonder Demand Module

• Participate in and support all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (Requirements gathering, Design, Development/Configuration, Testing, Deployment, Maintenance).
• Configure, maintain, and enhance the Blue Yonder Demand (BY Demand) Module in alignment with business requirements.
• Lead demand planning cycles and ensure accurate baseline forecast generation.
• Manage UAT, workflow changes, and integration activities with upstream/downstream systems.
• Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate resolution with IT or Blue Yonder support.
• Work with data engineering teams to ensure data quality, data readiness, and integration consistency.
• Build dashboards and reports to monitor forecast accuracy and model performance.
• Utilize advanced analytics to recommend continuous improvements in forecasting processes.
• Develop and tune statistical forecast models to improve accuracy.
• Conduct deep-dive analysis into forecasting errors and identify root causes.
• Create and maintain model governance frameworks, parameter tuning rules, and segmentation-based forecast strategies.
• Implement best practices for causal factor modeling, seasonality adjustments, and hierarchical forecasting.
• Partner with Demand Planners, Supply Chain Planners to understand drivers of demand variability.
• Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) by providing insights into statistical forecasts and scenario analysis.

Required Qualifications

• 8–10 years of hands-on experience with Blue Yonder Demand (JDA Demand).
• Strong knowledge of statistical forecasting techniques and parameter tuning.
• Proven experience improving forecast accuracy through model optimization and process enhancements.
• Solid understanding of demand planning concepts, supply chain processes, and S&OP.
• Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Ability to translate business requirements into system configurations and technical solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Blue Yonder Demand Module
• Background in Semi-Conductor Memory Industry
• Exposure to machine learning–based forecasting tools or time-series analytics.
